Support Workers-Mental Health

Employer is seeking casual part time Mental Health Support Workers. Seeking candidates that are motivated, resilient empathetic and with a mature attitude . Work is either at a adult residential , child and youth or disability residential setting. Support workers will work alongside people to optimise their potential, wellbeing, and their participation in the community. There are a variety of tasks including house management, community engagement, physical and mental health care support, and support for other life activities. We promote working from a trauma informed perspective and we work towards empowerment of all people living in the residences. Previous experience working with people with mental health issues or disabilities is preferred but not essential

Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain working relationships with clients, colleagues and external agencies is essential. Previous work experience in mental health or aged care is desirable. A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essential. Employer supports staff to complete the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing up to Level 4. • A full driver's licence is essential. • Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit. • Successful applications will be required to undergo Police Vetting.
