Assistant Florist

Riccarton - We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Florist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while assisting in various aspects of floristry, including order taking, flower preparation, and shop maintenance.

Key Responsibilities: - Customer Service: Deliver friendly and helpful service to customers both over the telephone and face-to-face.

- Order Management: Take and process customer orders accurately, ensuring all details are recorded correctly.

- Delivery Coordination: Receive and manage deliveries of floral products and supplies.

- Floral Preparation: Trim stems, remove foliage, and prepare flowers for arrangements.

- Shop Maintenance: Clean and maintain buckets, tools, and workspaces to ensure a tidy and organized shop environment.

- Training: Participate in training sessions to learn all aspects of floristry, including flower care and arrangement techniques.

- Floral Design: Create and design a variety of floral arrangements, including posies, bouquets, and specialty arrangements.

Qualifications: - Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred. - Previous experience in Floristry - Interest in floristry and a willingness to learn. - Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful arrangements.

Working Conditions: - Fast-paced retail environment. - May require standing for extended periods and some heavy lifting.
