About the Role: The Caterer/Chef will play an integral role in a busy kitchen, preparing handmade food to a high standard, with a particular flair for baking. This is a varied role that encompasses all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to customer service, ensuring everything is done with excellence.

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook food to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. • Maintain the baker’s fridge and freezer, ensuring they are well-stocked at all times for smooth kitchen operations. • Ensure food is prepared and ready for service according to the specified time on the run sheets. • Collaborate with and communicate effectively to other team members to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly. • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers are always happy and satisfied with their meals. • Assist with menu planning, ordering supplies, and general kitchen management when required. • Make deliveries in a pleasant and timely manner, maintaining excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

• Experience in Cooking and Food Preparation: A solid background in cooking and food preparation, with an ability to meet high standards consistently. • Presentation: Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and observe the company’s dress code at all times. • Time Management: Ensure deliveries are made on time, planning ahead to meet deadlines. • Customer Service: Greet customers with a smile, be courteous, and provide an exceptional experience. • Full Class 1 Driver's License: Drive safely and professionally, following all road rules. • Communication: Effectively coordinate orders and tasks with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Days of work
Monday to Friday with monthly rostered Saturdays. Generally 6am-3pm (30 hours per week)
