A Mangere-based employer is seeking an Apprentice Body Repair (Panel Beater)/Spray Painter Technician.
As an Apprentice Body Repair (Panel Beater)/Spray Painter Technician you will be part of a team that is delivering an impeccable service experience to customers. This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll have an opportunity to learn from our team of experienced Body Repair Technicians and work with vehicles that are revolutionising the automotive industry.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will go through an intensive EV and body repair training program designed to provide you with the skills and nationally recognised qualification necessary for a successful career with the company.
The ideal candidate must have a passion and desire to work on cutting edge electric vehicle technology and must have strong interest in hands-on work related to vehicle body repairs and spray painting.
Key responsibilities:
• Work as a team to deliver results and achieve daily goals. • Complete company specific training. • Develop knowledge of all company products, Body Repair Systems, Process and Procedures. • Ensure workshop is well maintained. • Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials. • Perform basic body repair work under supervision. • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and Body Repair Centre.
Job Requirements
Education & Eligibility: Completion of Year 12 and eligibility to attend training through MITO. Skills: Valid driver's license, fluent in English, and strong technical acumen, especially in electronics and technology. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management, and ability to work in high-pressure situations. Work Ethic & Attitude: Energetic, enthusiastic, proactive, flexible, team-oriented, and self-aware. Learning & Adaptability: Quick learner, open to feedback, and adaptable to shifting priorities. Physical Requirements: Ability to use manual tools, work with hands, and be medically fit for a Body Repair Centre. Must pass Ministry of Justice check and a pre-employment drug test
