Commis Chef
About this job
• Produce high quality items related to the menus • Communicate with and support peers • Follow recipes and instructions carefully • Have an understanding of prep levels and minimise wastage • Comply with NZFSA food control and Health and Safety at all times • Report any and all faulty equipment to the Head or Sous Chef • Report any and all mistakes related to items produced to the Head or Sous Chef • At the end of each service, ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy
Job Requirements
• 1-2 years experience working in a kitchen • Good physical health • Interest in food and upskilling • Good communication skills • Proactive • Good personal hygiene • Able to work as part of a team • Honest/reliable • Have efficient time management • Must have knife skills • Food assembly experience (making salad etc) • New graduates may also apply
- Days of work
- Hours will vary 35 – 40 per week. Monday through to Sunday. Varied and Split Shifts. To discuss with Work Broker. (35 hours per week)
