Orchard worker - Te Puke
About this job
A team of kiwifruit orchard workers are required on a fixed term basis to work across the Te Puke region for harvest and winter pruning season. Duties include picking kiwifruit, pruning kiwifruit vines and/or driving forklift or tractor. You will be on your feet and working above head and shoulders height for long periods of time, so need to have good level of physical fitness and no history of injury to back, neck or shoulders. This work is weather dependant with up to 5-6 days of work available per week. Closed footwear must be worn on orchard – gumboots and sneakers are suitable. Tools are provided by the employer. Experience is required. You will be required to have reliable transport and secured accommodation within daily distance to the Te Puke area prior to applying.
