Dispatch Coordinator

Position at a small to medium-sized raw pet food business committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for pets. Based in a rural area, just 10 minutes from town (Hurdon), they pride themselves on offering pet owners a natural alternative to traditional pet food. They are looking for a dedicated and reliable Dispatch Coordinator to help ensure their products are delivered efficiently and on time.
As a dispatch coordinator, you will play a vital role in their operations, managing the flow of products from their factory to their shops and customers. You will be responsible for organizing outgoing shipments/orders, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records. We're looking for someone with prior dispatch experience who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key responsibilities: Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring that all orders are packed and shipped accurately and efficiently, coordinate with delivery drivers and third-party carriers to ensure timely deliveries, maintain up-to-date inventory records and ensure that stock levels were accurate for dispatch, communicated with customers regarding order status, delivery times, and any delays, ensured compliance with safety and quality standards for handling frozen products, assisted in managing returns and exchanges as needed, and provide excellent customer service, address any concerns.
The successful candidates MUST have:
- Proven experience in dispatch or logistics roles preferably in the food or perishable goods industry - Strong organizational skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively - A passion for natural, healthy pet food - Understanding of its importance to pet health - Strong communication skills - Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team - Comfortable working in a rural setting - Problem-solving skills - A great attitude - Min 2 reference checks available -To Pass a Pre-Employment drug screen - To Pass a Ministry of Justice check
