Motel Manager

An established Ashburton based motel is seeking a motivated and hands-on Motel Manager to oversee daily operations. You will also be handling any maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with leadership skills and the ability to manage both guest services and property upkeep. Managerial Duties: - Oversee daily operations of the motel, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. - Manage front desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations. - Train, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional guest service. - Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner. - Monitor budgets, manage expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations. - Maintain accurate records of occupancy, revenue, and expenses. - Implement and enforce motel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. - Barista Skill be advantages

Maintenance Duties: - Perform routine maintenance/ Inspections & repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general handyman tasks. - Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs promptly. - Respond to guest requests for repairs or maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.

- Proven experience in hospitality sector, preferably in a motel or restaurant setting. - Strong knowledge of property maintenance & inspection,including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. - Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize. - Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting,bending, and standing for extended periods. - Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shift s as needed.

Qualifications: - Degree / Diploma in any Field is Must. - Experience with Microsoft Office & Booking Factory or similar reservation systems. - Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations. We’re not seeking qualifications as a plumber, electrician, or air-conditioning mechanic—just a general understanding and good common sense as Handy Man.
