Youth Support Worker

Employer is seeking Youth Support Workers. Seeking enthusiastic and motivated role models who are keen to make a positive difference to tamariki and rangatahi in residential and community services. Candidates ideally will have had experience working alongside and building trust and understanding with young people, however training will be provided along the way. Young people supported may experience significant obstacles in their lives, which at times requires a trauma informed approach. As a Youth Support Worker you would be a role model and mentor, helping youth to build self-esteem, resilience and confidence, alongside encouraging meaningful opportunities within their community. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in shaping a young person’s life, fostering emotional and social development and guiding them through the complexities of adolescence.
Job Requirements
Hold a full current New Zealand driver’s license. Be eligible to work in New Zealand Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost) Willingness to undergo vetting as part of the organisation’s commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
