Cook/Pastry maker

Canterbury preschool operator that owns and operates a several high-quality Early Childhood facilities in Christchurch. We provide highly nutritious food to our children, and we operate commercial kitchens in our facilities. We are currently looking for a Pastry Cook to join our team. The successful applicant will be employed to carry out the work of a Pastry Cook/Chef, however you must be available to complete all employment tasks requested by us, of whatever nature, to ensure our business operates effectively and efficiently. Specific tasks: • checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. • checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients and estimating weekly purchase quantities • Preparing hot and cold kitchen items • Baking as per daily menu • emptying, cleaning

Experience in a similar position. Any formal qualification will be an added qualification. Must have reliable transport for early start times. Must pass MOJ and drug test.
