Assistant Gym Manager

Seeking Assistant Gym Managers for a local gym in South Auckland. The Employer is looking for someone who is proactive, and understands that health, fitness, and wellness is a lifestyle choice. You will, along with the owner, be the face of the Gym and a source of motivation and inspiration for all their members.

In this role you will: • Promote the gym and its services • Drive membership sales via walk-in, face to face, follow up calls, emails and social media • Engage with members on a daily basis • Ensure retention by identifying high risk members and adding value • Manage daily activities, including cleaning, maintenance, H&S compliance • Manage, train and lead staff as the gym grows • Handle general enquiries and duties in the gym • Agree on monthly, quarterly and yearly KPIs. • Take direction from the Owner and execute as required • Ensure the smooth running and operation of the Gym

This is a part time role and hours will be between 25-30 hours.

• Sales experience within the fitness industry - or be willing to learn and upskill • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude dealing with clients across a diverse membership • Proven success achieving KPI's and sales targets • A passion for health and fitness • Computer competency - basic • Social media competency • Previous management or leadership experience • Personal training experience - or looking to upskill • Ability to handle additional responsibilities and be flexible where required • Impeccable customer service and interpersonal skills • Able to efficiently problem-solve where required • Own reliable transport • Able to pass a MOJ, drug test and medical as and when required • Eligibility to work in NZ
