Hospital Night Security Officer - Dargaville

Located in Dargaville our employer is looking for its newest Sole Charge Night Security Officer. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, identifying and de-escalating potential situations and must be a strong communicator. Characteristics of their ideal candidate: Proven strong cultural awareness a must Be of an empathetic nature with a strong customer service focus where helping people is something you genuinely enjoy. If you can keep calm under pressure, have empathy and you can think on your feet and can act quickly to de-escalate a situation then you are someone I want to interview. Our hospital officers are not only there to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors, but are also there in a customer service role to assist with any queries or to simply point members of the public in the right direction if they do not know where to go

You must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks to progress through the recruitment process. As a minimum these will include: Driver Licence. Credit. Ministry of Justice Criminal History Check. Live in the Dargaville region, preferred. Must be eligible to legally work in New Zealand Current COA preferred, however employer will assist Be articulate with a comprehensive understanding of the written and spoken English language. Display sound judgement and ability to make informed decisions quickly. Confidently work alone or in a team environment. Must be able to remain calm in difficult situations Comply with company SOP’s and Health & Safety Regulations.
