Opportunity is in Hamilton The tasks you will do: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure kitchen cleanliness and maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen and FOH staff to manage food inventory and ordering supplies. Maintain a positive and efficient work environment under pressure during busy periods. Demonstrate some cooking knowledge and know how when preparing food. Cut, chop, clean, peel, and prepare various foods for cooking. Store food in their appropriate storage areas (temperature controlled facilities, fridges, etc.)
Job Requirements
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST AND CONVICTIONS CHECK. MUST BE A CLEAN, TIDY PERSON AND IDEALLY HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF HYGIENE STANDARDS - VERY IMPORTANT. WOULD PREFER IF THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT HAD SOME KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD SAFETY AND BEST PRACTICES, HOWEVER NOT REQUIRED. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
