Auckland employer is looking for a Transport Branch Manager for their Mangere operation. In this role you will lead your branch to safely deliver its profit and service commitments. Ensure resources are matched to revenue and budgeted profit is achieved consistently while still delivering on our high customer service expectations and building a strong team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the agreed performance levels for all customers. • Ensuring all pickups, deliveries, customer collections and operational activities are conducted in accordance with safe work practices. Actively promote Health and Safety best practices. • Participating in national improvement initiatives and demonstrate leadership and teamwork. • Completing Claims Investigations and working to ensure damages remain the lowest in the industry. •Organising and facilitating team meetings and toolbox sessions on a regular basis and ensuring strong communication within the branch. • Assessing the personal development requirements of key roles and people • Building team engagement and reducing turnover through active management of branch culture, in conjunction with H&S, HR and national initiatives. • Delivering on the budgeted profit and weekly review and analysis of financial reports, validation for correctness and improvement initiatives as needed. • Preparing the annual operating and capital budgets for the branch • Maximising revenue through correct charging of customers, revenue initiatives, training and ongoing monitoring of revenues and billing. • Ensuring that the organization at Branch level has effective structure, culture, policies and programs to ensure legal compliance and to enhance the health, safety, well-being and support of our people.

Job Requirements

Previous experience leading a large branch (100+ people), preferably in the Transport or Logistics industry. Strong customer centric approach and commitment to delivering high service levels. Experience with FME, Power BI reporting, E-road system. Strong communication, organizational and problems solving skills. Strong professional communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and meet time specific deadlines. Skilled with Microsoft Office suite, and confident using Excel. Must pass MOJ and pre employment drug test
