Shop Manager

A Wellington organisation based in Petone is looking for a Shop Manager to join their team. Working for the world’s largest humanitarian network you will be committed to represent the community we serve. • Overseeing the day-to-day operations including presentation, stock-sorting, pricing, and opening and closing procedures. • Leading a team of Assistant Managers, Volunteers and supporting an effective and collaborative team environment, maintaining shop rosters to ensure effective shop operations. • Recruit, train, and retain shop employees with the support of the Retail Regional Manager. • Provide superior customer service and lead by example, maintaining professionalism. • Provide monthly reports on shop performance, sales trends, donations, and volunteer activities. To be successful you will demonstrate a knowledge of retail operations, stock management, sales drivers, administration, banking, and cash handling. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role preferably in retail or a customer service orientated role. Proven ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop teams, ensuring high performance. You will have exceptional customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult situations and de-escalate conflicts effectively. Experience in training and leading a team/staff with diverse skills and abilities. Flexibility to work varying shifts including at least x1 weekend day as required. Able to pass an MOJ check.
