Driver/Storeman

The driver/storeman will affect deliveries and collections as required in a safe and timely manner to meet the needs of the company and its customers. Added to the delivery role is the ability as required to support and run the store including the receipt, storing, picking, cutting and dispatch of products. The role involves significant customer contact. Essential to this role is the effective, friendly and helpful customer service with the result of customer satisfaction. KEY TASKS Driving Organise daily deliveries and collections in an efficient manner Ensure loading and securing of product meets road transport regulations and is kept damage free and dry. • Ensure paperwork for collections and deliveries is accurate, tidy and timely. Keep vehicles maintained and in condition for road worthiness and general tidiness. Ensure accurate receipt and record of inwards goods into store. Ensure the safe and efficient storage of product. To assist with periodic stock counts as required. To pick customer orders in a timely efficient and safe manner. To assist customers with purchase decisions as required. The efficient and accurate cutting of customer orders. Regular cleaning of the store and works areas including weekly use of the mechanical sweeper to keep the dust levels low. Customer Interaction Ensure customer and supplier interaction is friendly, helpful and efficient. Ensure customer signatures are obtained when required and collection and return of monies owed when required. Report on any customer issues or opportunities that arise. Handle customer complaints, returns and exchanges by listening attentively asking questions and taking appropriate action. When required, help customers make selections by showing product, explaining and demonstrating features and benefits

FULL CLEAN DRIVER LICENCE and transport FORKLIFT LICENCE Must pass Police check and drug and alcohol test Good computer skills MUST have excellent customer service skills reliable transport
