Support Worker

We have an exciting entry-level opportunity available at our 6-bed Mental Health & Addiction Service in Tawa. This role offers a rewarding chance to contribute to the well-being of individuals in a supportive, alternative care environment.

As part of our acute respite service, you will play a key role in empowering individuals to live fulfilling, connected lives within the community. This role prioritizes mental health and overall well-being, while fostering strong whanau connections. - Ideally, you will have or be working towards a Level 3 or 4 NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing. However, we welcome applicants who are committed to obtaining the necessary qualifications. -Compassionate, empathetic, and calm with excellent communication skills. - An understanding of mental health and addiction, or personal experience with these challenges. - A current NZ Full Driver Licence and First Aid Certificate (or the willingness to obtain one). - Ability to complete a 2-week induction program, including orientation to all shifts. - Must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check and be drug-free
