About this job
We are seeking four Cook positions for The Foodstore at 910 Gordon Road, Hastings, and Rathour Foodstore at 500 Queen Street West, Hastings, in the Hawke’s Bay region. Key tasks and responsibilities: • Preparing and cooking food following recipes provided • Seasoning food during cooking • Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality • Regulating temperatures of fryers, grills and other cooking equipment • Portioning food and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes • Storing food in temperature controlled facilities • Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements • Plan menus and estimate food requirements • Train other kitchen staff • Keep workplace and equipment clean and tidy according to maintenance schedule
Hours and Position: • It is full time permanent job with minimum 30 hours +per week.
Pay Rate: • $28 to $30 per hour
Job Requirements
• Be Honest and Reliable • Ability to work on Weekends and rostered shifts • Be punctual • Be Drug free • Clean Criminal History Experience or Qualification: • Minimum 1 year of relevant industry work experience is required.
