Mechanical Engineer

A Mechanical Engineer is needed for a local Employer. You will work within a diverse and constantly changing operating environment, providing day-to-day maintenance at our Blenheim plant with a mix of reactive and proactive maintenance. As a Mechanical Engineering Trade, you will be responsible for: • Assisting with mechanical engineering research, design, manufacturing, construction and operations • Maintaining machinery, manufacturing equipment, mechanical installations and facilities Based on your experience and qualifications, your hourly rate will range from $35 - $50.
Job Requirements
• To be a Trade Certified Fitter/Turner/Welder • Minimum 4 years Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food production and/or relevant work experience and proven successes In Preventative and Reactive maintenance • An eye for detail and identifying areas for Improvement • Good time management, organisational skills and enthusiasm for getting it right • Impeccable communication skills

- Rotating shifts Mon - Fri of mornings 4am-2pm & afternoons 3pm-11pm Sat as required 6am-2pm On call work sometimes required. (40 hours per week)
