Furniture Factory Worker

Dunedin/ Dunedin: We are looking for an enthusiastic, Fit, self-motivated, and organised person to join our Dunedin production team, as our Joinery Cabinet Assembler/Delivery person. Kitchens for Less is a well-established Manufacturing company specialising in custom made Kitchens and joinery. As part of the team, you will be involved in Cabinet assembly and delivery on site of our kitchens. This is a physical role, so we are looking for someone who is active and a good level of fitness and strength. Duties include but are not limited to: • Assembly of cabinetry in factory. • Working with written plans and measurements. • Quality control of finished material Attention to all finishing detail. • Delivery on site of cabinets and kitchen benchtops.

Days and hours: Monday to Friday - 7.30am – 3.30pm - but could be later some days due to business needs.

Pay Rate: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

No experience is required, but all applicants must meet the below prerequisites to be considered for this role, please note if you don’t meet any of these you won’t be considered for this role.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role. • Knowledge and proficiency in using hand tools and other machinery. • Physically fit and capable of safely lifting cabinet. • Good Communication skills at all levels. • Work well within a Team environment. • Excellent Time Management. • Have a positive and can-do attitude. • All successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and police checks. • Hold New Zealand citizenship or have New Zealand Permanent Residency. The is an advantage but essential for this role: • Previous experience with Kitchen joinery is an advantage. • Full or Restricted Class 1 Drivers' Licence would be an major advantage, but not essential at this stage of employment.
