Builder's Labourer Apprentice

A local building company is currently seeking a motivated and hardworking Labourer to join their team. This involves various manual tasks on construction sites to assist in the building processes like: 1. Carrying and Moving Materials: Transporting construction materials like bricks, cement, wood, and steel to and from various locations on the site. 2. Site Preparation: Clearing debris, leveling the ground, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or temporary structures. 3. Assisting Tradespeople: Supporting skilled workers, such as carpenters, bricklayers, electricians, and plumbers, by passing tools, holding materials, or cleaning work areas. 4. Mixing and Pouring Concrete: Preparing and pouring concrete for foundations, floors, or other structural elements. 5. General Clean-Up: Keeping the site tidy, disposing of waste, and ensuring safety standards are maintained. 6. Operating Basic Machinery: In some cases, they may operate equipment like power tools, small cranes, or forklifts under supervision. 7. Safety: Ensuring a safe work environment by following safety protocols, using protective gear (such as hard hats, gloves, and safety boots), and maintaining equipment properly. A building labourer typically doesn't require formal qualifications, but experience on construction sites is beneficial.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants must be physically fit, eager to learn, have a minimum of a restricted drivers' licence and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
