Acclaimed Hospitality Venue in Kerikeri are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maitre d’ to provide exceptional customer service and oversee our restaurant operations. The Maitre d’ will manage the reception team, welcome guests, manage reservations, assign tables, and ensure that all guests have a high-quality dining experience. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, experience in restaurant management, and a keen eye for detail. The Maitre d’ is the first point of contact for our customers and sets the tone for their dining experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant Manage reservations and waiting lists Assign tables and direct staff to ensure a smooth service Coordinate with the kitchen and front of house staff Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally Oversee the reception team and other restaurant staff Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience Maintain a clean and organized reception area

A high level of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Able to work in a high-pressure environment Knowledge of reservation systems Understanding of health and safety regulations
