Class 5 Truck Driver

Mangere based employer is seeking Class 5 Truck Drivers to join their team.

Key responsibilities: - Drive Class 5 trucks. - Deliver containers from depot to ports within Auckland metro. - Deliver general goods all over New Zealand. - Planning and following the most efficient routes based on schedules and road conditions - Operating trucks and heavy combination vehicles. - Ensure load is strapped securely to protect from damage or loss. - Carry out pre-checks of vehicle before each trip – including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards. - Ideal candidate must be reliable, flexible, and physically fit as there would is physical work involved. - Ensuring compliance with NZ road transport laws and weight limits. - Reporting mechanical issues and arranging for truck maintenance when needed. - Communicating with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse teams regarding delivery updates. - Ensuring deliveries are made on time while maintaining professionalism with clients. - Handling unexpected delays, route changes, or mechanical breakdowns efficiently. - Reporting any incidents, accidents, or transport issues to the supervisor. - At least one year of relevant working experience
