Keen to be outdoor picking kiwifruit for export? We have an opportunity available for people who enjoy outdoor work, are motivated and a good team player in the Otamarakau area due to commence mid March with the potential of further seasonal employment. You will be carrying a picking bag on your front weighing up to 25 kgs therefore a good level of fitness is required. This will be followed with pruning and tying down of both Green and Gold kiwifruit vines on pergola structures in preparation for summer growth and 2025 harvest season according to industry specifications on a temporary basis. This work involves working above head and shoulder height and being on your feet for long periods of time. Closed footwear must be always worn on orchard, as part of the health and safety requirements. Gumboots are suitable. You will need secure accommodation within daily travel assistance and be able to travel to the various orchards. Tools will be provided by the employer.
