Plant Supervisor

Busy, growing waste management company specializing in treatment and minimization of bulk organic liquid and food wastes is seeking a Plant Supervisor.

The role will be responsible for receipt and processing of collected organic waste, storage of Dangerous Goods (chemicals) and the processing of hydro-excavation waste and organic food waste. You will require a current WTR license, a forklift license, have had a comprehensive background in the supervision of staff in an operational environment and be able to learn the operations of an organic waste processing facility. The role will suit a hands-on person, who is physically able, energetic and able to lead by example to get the job done. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, with a “can-do” attitude and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and work in with the team to meet processing deadlines. For the right person there is a definite opportunity for advancement as you prove yourself and learn our business.

Ideally, you will also have a have a sound knowledge and experience in Dangerous Goods and hold a Class 5 license however Class 4 minimum. You will be required to demonstrate a responsible approach to an operational environment, ensuring safety, quality and care is taken in the processing within the plant and the receipt, handling and storage of DG waste. . In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a proven level of initiative, ownership and problem-solving capability. As hygiene and cleanliness in all stages of processing is imperative, a background in food processing may be advantageous.
