Maintaining and upgrading the website by adding new stock, removing sold rugs, and reflecting the quality of the physical store. Managing an online shop, including updating stock, offering discounts, responding to queries, and planning chat support. Organizing viewings and client communication via email, as many browse the website before visiting the showroom. Photographing rugs skillfully to showcase handmade details, editing photos for size and resolution. Managing pick-up, delivery, returns, repairs, and washing of rugs. Coordinating with courier services. Advertising in traditional media (e.g., The Press) and digital platforms (e.g., Facebook Marketplace), creating/uploading ads, and expanding on social media. Monitoring customer needs, competitors, and managing Canterbury Auctions communications. Preparing sales reports, maintaining expenses, negotiating prices, and ensuring satisfaction by sharing rug history and quality details.

Selling Persian and Oriental hand-knotted rugs requires extensive knowledge of the craft. We are seeking someone with experience and a strong background in Persian and Oriental rugs. As the digital world grows, we also need someone skilled in digital marketing to enhance Persian Rug Gallery Ltd's online presence and physical store. This includes managing social media, online inquiries, in-person interactions, and increasing online traffic to grow sales. We require at least one year of proven sales experience and knowledge in communications and marketing. The role involves managing the website, handling customer communications, and liaising with potential wholesalers. A qualification in sales, communications, or marketing is preferred, as you will handle most buyer communications. Knowledge of Persian rugs is a major advantage, as our clients value understanding the history and craftsmanship of the rugs we sell. The role is vacant and requires an immediate start.
