Truck Driver

Busy Transport company in Auckland requires Truck Driver With Class 5 Licence. Duties: Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Operate Curtain sider operated Trucks and be capable to load and unload containers on and off the ground. Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc) as well as with company policies and procedures. Weekend availability: Must be able to work on weekend, if required.

Job involved the Drivers to travel all over the New Zealand and in some cases they have to stay in away for one or two weeks , the business headquarter is in Auckland and they have to report back to Head office. When Driver’s stay out of Auckland, they have to sleep in the Trucks, as the Trucks have Bed-berth inside to sleep. The Drivers park the Trucks at Trucks Bay, where they have access to public utility services or at Truck depot.
