Class 4 Truck Driver

An employer is looking for a truck driver to join their team to work throughout the North Island. Responsibilities include: - Operate and drive trucks - Conduct inspections on vehicles for issues and safety concerns - Carry out preventive maintenance - Strategise routes and adhere to delivery timelines - Record and track work and rest periods, driving distances, and maintain fuel and toll receipts - Maintain a logbook - Adhere to truck driving regulations as well as company policies - Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, - Report any incidents, damages, or accidents - Perform daily vehicle checks, including monitoring oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety equipment, road user charge license, hub odometer readings, and ensuring equipment security - Weigh the truck both before and after loading, Verify the securement of the load

- Be well-presented and have great communication skills - Be physically fit (heavy lifting involved at times) and capable of physical work - Have knowledge about hazardous materials - Current Class 4 full licence - Current Dangerous Goods licence - Current Forklift and Power Pallet jack licence - Must hold no criminal record, or previous driving offence - Have weekend and after hours availability to work - Must have some form of customer service experience
