Construction Labourers

A Wellington business is looking for physically fit and motivated individuals to join our Team. We are always on the hunt for Construction Labourers. They must be interested in the construction industry with a drive to support their teams.

The General Labourer will report directly to the site supervisor. Core duties include but are NOT limited to:

1. Site Cleaning and Maintenance: • Maintaining a clean and tidy worksite, including sweeping, tidying debris, and emptying rubbish. • Assisting with the setup and dismantling of site facilities and safety barriers.

2. Material Handling: • Moving materials and supplies (e.g., timber, drywall, tools) manually or using appropriate equipment to designated areas. • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

3. Equipment Support: • Moving equipment and small plant around the site as directed. • Assisting tradespersons by fetching tools and holding materials.

4. Directed Tasks: • Performing tasks as directed by supervisors, which may include digging, basic demolition, setting up temporary utilities, or supporting trade activities.

5. Safety Compliance: • Adhering strictly to all site health and safety procedures and regulations. • Reporting any hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

• Available to work 7am – 5pm • Be physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks. • Flexibility is desirable given you may be required to work shift work. • Civil construction experience desirable. • Have a positive 'can do' attitude. • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment MOJ check, drug, and medical test.
