A local employer in Christchurch is currently seeking motivated and hardworking Hammer Hands to join their team on an on-call basis.

About the role: Work schedule will vary based on demand. Typically, 2-4 labourers are needed for 2-3 days per week, but there may be periods where no work is required for a week or more. Flexibility is key. Duties include assisting skilled workers, loading and unloading building materials, machinery, and tools, distributing materials to appropriate locations, and moving construction/extraction materials as needed. Additional tasks will include mixing, pouring, and preparing construction sites to eliminate potential hazards, fabricating wall frames and trusses, and other related duties as required.

Key Requirements: Physically fit and healthy, as the role may require heavy lifting. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Reliable transport is essential to get to and from the work site. Previous experience in construction or labouring roles is preferred but not essential. Convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
