Automotive Technician - Kawakawa

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our small team in a busy workshop on a full-time basis. Warrant of Fitness (WOF) authority a bonus but not necessary. In this role, you will be responsible for performing vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of customer vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive mechanics, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and can self-manage. While qualifications are preferred, someone self taught who knows their way around a vehicle and are confident they could complete the below tasks independently don't hesitate to apply today! Key Responsibilities: • Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs. • Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately • Troubleshooting electrical issues would be a bonus. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts inventory. • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair recommendations and ensure satisfaction. • Take ownership of the business during designated periods, overseeing daily operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a workshop environment. • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment or willingness to learn or upskill. • Excellent communication and customer service abilities. • Punctuality, reliability, and efficiency • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety standards. • Full NZ Drivers License a must • Honest, reliable and gets the job done.
