Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team.
You'll be expected to:
• Source, analyse, and transform data using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and R. • Develop indicators and data dashboards to identify gaps and monitor progress across key focus areas. • Use data and evidence from various sources, including Stats NZ's Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI), to create insightful reports for diverse audiences. • Present data in a clear, accessible, and concise format for non-technical users. • Contribute to improving data, systems and reporting processes. • Work proactively with stakeholders to source and define data that meets user needs.

Job Requirements
In order to succeed, you need:
• 2- 3 years previous experience in a Data Analyst role is a must. • Quantitative technical skills • Must have experience in PowerBI • Experience in IDI and/or quantitative disability data is desirable but not essential • Stakeholder management and the ability to build cross- agency relationships
You will also need to clear an MOJ check.
- Days of work
- Monday – Friday. Standard Business Hours. Fixed Term, through to 24 December 2025. (40 hours per week)
