Receptionist

Duties on Reception will include: Checking guests in and out. Answering the phones, answering emails. Communicating with third party booking agencies like Booking.Com, Air BNB, Expedia and Hostelworld .Cash handling, processing refunds and data entry. Knowledge of the Lake Tekapo Tourism industry. Understanding of Travel agents and wholesale bookings and how they operate. Familiarity with bookings systems. Dealing with customer queries and complaints .Understanding basic knowledge of motorhomes and caravans. Have a good understanding of the English language Being able to speak multiple languages would be an advantage. Have good attention to detail. Have good organisational skills. Be able to work under high pressure especially during the peak seasons. Able to work on their own. Housekeeping duties including laundry and cleaning of rooms and facilities. This position is located in Lake Tekapo.

• At least a year working in a customer service reception position and an advantage if this was in the tourism industry as this is a high pressure role. • Prefer someone who has completed high school education and an advantage if they have studied tourism or business administration. • Applicants MUST have experience in reception, administration or customer service to be considered. • Being able to speak fluent English is a must and multilingual is an advantage.
