Steel Fixers and Labourers

A busy company in Gore is looking for Labourers and Steel Fixers to join their team on a 6-month basis (March to Sept). In this role you will be laying reinforcements for large structures such as bridges, tanks, and buildings prior to concrete pouring.
Daily tasks include: - tying steel, - installing mesh, - carrying and placing steel bars.
Experience is preferred but not required, as long as you are reliable, hardworking and have your own transportation to get to the various worksites, this could be the opportunity for you.
This role offers the opportunity to give you great construction skills and experience which you can carry on after this 6-month role. Petrol could be provided for candidates coming from Invercargill.
Job Requirements
-Must be able to take direction and work well in a team. -Must be physically fit and healthy. -Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and able to lift a minimum of 20kg. -Must have own reliable transport -Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing. -Must be able to pass Police and Ministry of Justice checks, however, convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
