We are looking for a motivated and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will assist in food preparation, ensure consistent quality and portion control, and help maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs in preparing menu items and ingredients according to recipes. - Ensure consistency and quality by strictly following recipes and portion sizes. - Receive deliveries and store stock properly. - Maintain food safety standards in all preparation areas. - Adhere to health and safety policies in the kitchen. - Report any hazards or safety concerns to management. - Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations. - Attend kitchen meetings and actively contribute to team discussions. - Perform additional tasks as requested by the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef De Partie.

Job Requirements
- Working towards a New Zealand Certificate (Level 3) in Cookery, or equivalent (preferred). - Strong time management skills. - Creativity and a passion for cooking. - Ability to follow instructions and work well with others. - Committed to team success and maintaining high standards. - attitude and enthusiasm. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Reliable and adaptable to changes in the kitchen. - Criminal convictions will need to be disclosed at the time of applying, considered case by case
- Days of work
- 5 days a week. Shifts between 6am-11pm. (30 hours per week)
