Painter/Decorator

Invercargill based painter is looking to hire a reliable Painter's Labourer to join the team. This is a great opportunity to work in a hands-on role, supporting a professional team with a variety of residential and commercial painting projects. Open to both experienced as well as those with entry level skills looking to learn under an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and scraping. Assist with applying undercoats, primers, and paints. Mask and cover areas to protect surfaces during painting. Mix and match paints as directed by the painter. Operate and maintain painting tools, ladders, and other equipment. Follow health and safety guidelines on-site. Support painters with moving equipment and materials. General site cleanup and maintenance.

Must have the right to work within New Zealand and have an updated CV with contactable references.

We’re looking for someone who: - Has experience as a painter/brush hand or has skills to train into the role - Is physically fit, reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work - Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team - Attention to detail and a willingness to learn - Minimum of Restricted Driver’s license and transport to get to/from work - Able to pass Pre-employment Drug Test and Police checks (due to nature of work and contracts)
