We are seeking a reliable and proactive Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will support senior chefs in food preparation, maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including prepping ingredients and following recipes for menu items. - Wash dishes and ensure clean dishes are put away in their designated areas. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and tools. - Clean all kitchen surfaces, including floors, counters, and equipment, ensuring a hygienic work environment. - Dispose of rubbish and ensure proper waste management procedures are followed. - Receive deliveries and store stock in appropriate areas according to food safety guidelines. - Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. - Follow food safety procedures and maintain high standards of hygiene in all food preparation areas. - Adhere to health and safety policies in the kitchen to ensure a safe working environment. - Report any hazards or safety concerns to designated management immediately. - Participate in kitchen meetings and contribute to team communication. - Assist with other tasks as requested by the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie
