Excavator Operator
About this job
Our team in Wellington is looking for two hardworking and physically fit people to work in the Steel yard.
You will be loading and unloading trucks, sorting, and grading steel scrap and loading containers for export.
Candidates will have the following:
• Experience with operating excavators or material handlers • Experience with hydraulic shears and grabs preferred, although training will be provided • Ability to work as part of a small and productive team
We offer a vibrant working environment and full training and upskilling.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday and Saturday morning as rostered or required. Weekly hours are approximately 45-50 hours per week. Night Shift work also available.

Job Requirements
• WTR and Full Class 1 Driver's License • Class 2 license would be ideal but not essential and training can be provided • Current forklift OSH certificate • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test • Able to pass a MOJ check to our satisfaction • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. i.e., be a New Zealand or Australian citizen or a New Zealand permanent resident.
