Concrete Placer

We are seeking a Concrete Contractor responsible for the preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete. This includes using hand and machine tools for tasks like setting lasers, raking, screeding, troweling, and power floating. The role also involves maintaining company vehicles and tools. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Effective communication with the foreman and operations manager is essential, as well as adherence to safety and quality standards. Previous concrete experience and a valid driver’s license are required. You must pass a drug test.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Hand & Machine Tools Tasks • Fuel machines • Clean tools • Set up and use laser confidently Concrete Preparation Tasks • Prep without supervision • Box concrete without supervision to a high standard • Read Plans (Basic Level) Concrete Placing Tasks • Rake concrete to height • Use concrete vibrator correctly • Edge Concrete • Trowel concrete • Ball Float • Basic screeding and finishes • Power floating finishes Company Vehicles Tasks • Carry out vehicle checks on Mondays • Ensure wheel balancing and alignments are kept up to date • Ensure vehicle servicing is kept up to date
