Skilled Labourer

We are a well-established Building Construction Company seeking a physically fit and reliable Skilled Labourer to join our enthusiastic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work alongside experienced Carpenters and contribute to the successful completion of a variety of construction projects across Auckland. The ideal candidate will have strong physical stamina, a good work ethic, and relevant experience in construction. You will be assisting in a wide range of tasks, ensuring the smooth running of construction sites and helping to create high-quality structures. Key Responsibilities: • Assist Carpenters with various tasks, following instructions and supporting all aspects of carpentry work • Load and unload building and construction materials, tools, and equipment • Transport materials and equipment around construction sites • Erect, repair, or dismantle temporary structures as required • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete, plaster, and mortar • Dig holes and shovel excavated material as needed • Spread and level soil, gravel, and sand to prepare sites for construction • Use a variety of tools and materials to assist in cutting, assembling, nailing, and shaping high-quality fences and structures • Assist in erecting and repairing frameworks, including nailing, installing, and framing fences and other structures • Ensure site cleanliness and maintain a safe and organized work environment • Perform general labouring tasks as directed by the project manager or lead carpenter

• Proven experience in construction (required) • Can pass MOJ (Ministry of Justice) check (required) • Can pass drug test (required) (Ability to comply with health and safety regulations, including alcohol or drug tests when required • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of workmanship • Punctual, trustworthy, and proactive • Clean and organized • Valid Site Safety Card • Clean New Zealand Driver's License (required) (Restricted/Full required, may need to drive for work purposes) • Having your own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is a plus (not obligatory)
