Construction company in Whenpai is looking for a Carpenter apprentice
They are seeking a motivated and reliable Carpentry Apprentice to join their team and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the carpentry trade. As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of skilled carpenters, learning how to perform a wide range of tasks, from basic carpentry to advanced techniques. This is an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding career in construction and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist experienced carpenters with the installation, repair, and maintenance of structures, frameworks, and fixtures. * Measure and cut materials such as wood, drywall, and metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery. * Learn to read blueprints and follow construction plans to ensure work is completed according to specifications. * Participate in site preparation, including loading and unloading materials, organizing tools, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. * Support in the construction of doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, and other wood structures. * Apply finishing techniques to wood surfaces such as sanding, staining, or painting. * Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with building codes and regulations. * Attend training sessions and educational programs to further develop carpentry skills and knowledge.

Job Requirements
* Highschool NCEA level 1, 2 and 3 * Must pass MOJ checks * Must pass drug test * physically fit * passionate about carpentry
