Our local Te Awamutu Museum plays caretaker and advocate to some of our district's richest heritage, and we aim to share powerful and relevant stories, and build connectedness with our people and area. We're looking for someone to join our small but awesome team of eight staff.

As a Museum Host you will be the face of the museum for visitors - welcoming them, providing information on exhibitions, activities and services on offer, and contributing to the running of events like exhibition openings and public programmes.

Our ideal candidate is warm and friendly, reliable and able to work the rostered hours, comfortable using Maori words and place names, and be flexible to work additional hours for museum events.

Job Requirements

2 years experience in a similar reception-type role Reliable with fantastic customer service skills Able to pass a drug test and Ministry of Justice check Full class 1 drivers license Be able to complete online application form - link will be provided (applications close Wed 29/01/25) Minimum NCEA Level 3

Days of work
Week 1 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00 - 4.00 Saturday 9.45 - 2.15 Week 2 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00 - 4.30 (22 hours per week)
