Retail Sales Assistant

A Lower Hutt Business is looking for Retail Customer Service members to join their team. Team members are responsible for ensuring that all items that end up in the store are suitable for sale. They are essential to the store in that they ensure that we have a steady stream of good quality items available for customers. This role may also include other general duties including picking up and dropping off items, electrical test tagging and use of till/customer service and selecting of appropriate rag materials, cutting to size, bagging, and accepting and filling customer orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Being responsible for the day-to-day operations of running a second-hand shop. • Stock management, keeping accurate and up to date records of weight rehomed. • Administration tasks, Keep accurate records of time sheets. • Accurately processing all sales through the EFTPOS / cash register, • Preparing and displaying goods donated to our shop. • Customer service. being caring, personable, and professional, using inc

• Able to distinguish items that are in good condition from items that are not. • Able to pay close attention to detail. • Able to move boxes and bags of donations and to do physical work. • Reliable in coming for scheduled shifts, or phoning in advance if unavailable or sick. • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team. • Able to accept supervision and direction. • Full Drivers Licence • Willingness to learn and put forward ideas. • Able to pass a pre-employment MOJ check and Drug test.
