Front of House - Bar Attendant

A popular local Inn in Matamata is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join their dynamic. As a Bar Attendant, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, crafting innovative drinks, and ensuring the smooth operation of a vibrant bar. This permanent position offers flexible scheduling to suit various lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with speed, precision, and creativity • Provide outstanding customer service, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations • Assist with inventory management, stock control, and cost tracking to ensure efficient operations • Adhere to all liquor licensing laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines

Desirable: • LCQ (Liquor Control Qualification) license is preferred, but not required • Experience with gaming and cash handling is an advantage

• 1-2 years of experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment • Demonstrated expertise in mixing, preparing, and presenting a wide variety of cocktails and beverages • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a memorable guest experience • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities, thriving in a busy and dynamic bar setting • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays • A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and presentation • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Must pass a drug and a MOJ check
