Are you a skilled diesel mechanic looking for your next challenge? A local Automotive shop in Airport Oaks is seeking full time experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic tests on diesel-powered vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel vehicle repair on Light commercial trucks (class 1 - up to 12 tons) and commercial diesel Vans and utes, (Dual rear-wheeler truck experience would be necessary) excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose and repair all areas of a commercial vehicle, With an emphasis on brakes, suspension and engine repair Perform routine maintenance and preventative services on vehicles Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized scan tools and equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issues. Replace faulty parts and components as needed. Perform Pre-COF Checks Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet safety and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow. Keep up-to-date with advancements in diesel technology and repair techniques.

Hours are Mon – Fri 8am-5pm

Job Requirements

• Experience working on commercial vehicles and light trucks • At least 5-7 years of mechanical experience • Diagnostic expertise • Engine Repair experience • Suspension and brake repair knowledge • Level 4 Qualification (preferred but not essential) • Ability to work as a team and unsupervised • Full, valid NZ driver's license and Truck license • Able to pass MOJ check and drug test. • Physically fit to carry heavy parts and tools. • Ability to fit tyres on passenger vehicles

Mon to Fri - 8 am to 5 pm (40 hours per week)

$28 - $32 (Depending on experience)
