Support Worker
About this job
As a Support Worker, your main responsibility will be to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in developing their independence and daily living skills. This includes tasks such as helping with transportation, employment, finances, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration. No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to work as a Support Worker is important. Full training and orientation will be provided, our services support employees in completing Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications. Job Requirements
-Experience in hoisting and personal care is an advantage -Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role. -Reliable and self motivated -Problem Solver -Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts. -Enjoys to go out and about, taking people we support to community activities -Comfortable using computers and tablets. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Comfortable in working with a diversity community -Physical fitness to provide necessary support. -Possession of a Full NZ driver's license -Must pass a drug test -Must pass a MOJ and police check
