Traffic Controller

Wiri employer is looking for entry level and experienced Traffic management workers. This is a casual on call role with a possibility of becoming permanent full time. Key responsibilities: • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in an organised way to ensure public safety at construction zones, accidents, public events or other road disruptions. • Set up, manage and remove temporary traffic control schemes and signage. • Direct traffic using a stop-slow sign and other traffic control devices, give and receive radio updates to coordinate with other road traffic personnel, construction workers and emergency response teams, complete site checks and monitor traffic behaviour and flow to ensure public safety. You will need: • Ability to start early and work until tasks are completed, including potential long hours. • Willingness to undertake training for Traffic Controller course, Site Safe, and Construct Safe.

Company is based at Wiri, work across a Monday to Saturday dayshift. Applicants must pass a drug and MOJ check. Must be physically fit. Candidate must have own reliable transport. Early morning start. Training will be provided.
