Join us in delivering our daily LYNKZ program, an initiative that enhances the well-being, relationships, and life skills of individuals with disabilities. About the Role As a LYNKZ Facilitator, you will: • Lead and Inspire: Manage and deliver engaging activity programs that foster growth, inclusion, and joy for people with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities. • Support Individual Goals: Conduct assessments, develop personalised goal plans, and celebrate progress. • Promote Community Connection: Build relationships with stakeholders and create opportunities for meaningful community participation. • Facilitate Events and Trips: Organise and oversee events, from local outings to overnight trips, ensuring accessibility and safety for all participants. • Create a Culture of Belonging: Uphold Tikanga Maori and foster an environment that respects diverse cultural and personal values.
Part-time (25-hours), Monday to Friday, with occasional after-hours or extended days (time in lieu provided)

Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who: • Has experience working with disabled or vulnerable people. • Demonstrates excellent facilitation, planning, and time management skills. • Communicates effectively across diverse disciplines and cultures. • Has knowledge of the Enabling Good Lives philosophy, NZ Disability Strategy, Treaty of Waitangi, and UN Rights of Persons with Disabilities. • Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and adaptability to a dynamic environment.
Skills & Attributes:
• Desirable: Familiarity with Whangarei’s services and activities. • Essential: Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain). • Essential: A full driver’s license, including the ability to drive a 12-seater manual van. • Desirable: We strongly encourage applicants with lived experience of disability to apply.
