CSSD Technician

Te Whatu Ora is looking for Cadetship CSSD Technician. Technician - Central Sterile Sciences Department. About the role The Central Sterile Sciences department is a business critical service that provides decontamination and sterilisation services across Te Whatu Ora Waitemata (inpatient and community) as well as external customers. The position will require you to work on rotating shifts at both the North Shore and Waitakere hospital campuses, enabling you to learn all aspects of instrumentation used in patient care. Within this role you will be responsible for the collection, sorting, decontamination, inspection, testing and sterilisation of surgical and medical devices at the cutting edge of technology, ensuring all quality assurance and compliance are met. The tasks mentioned will involve some lifting. We will provide a fully comprehensive training programme, where you will have the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Sterilising Technology.
