The Citizens Advice Bureau Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Bureau as a trusted community service. This includes managing the weekly volunteer roster to ensure adequate staffing, coordinating volunteer recruitment and support, and overseeing financial tasks such as preparing statements for management meetings and handling online banking. The Coordinator is also responsible for preparing and submitting funding applications, maintaining accurate records, and meeting submission deadlines. With strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, the Coordinator upholds the CAB’s values while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers and clients alike.
This position demands strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, along with a commitment to fostering growth and community engagement. As the administrator, you would oversee all aspects of office operations to ensure the smooth running of the Bureau, including managing mail, email, accounts, filing, and office equipment like computers, printers, and telephones. You would maintain noticeboards, compile reports, and handle day-to-day correspondence. A key aspect of the role is supporting the personal development of Bureau interviewers by providing relevant resource materials, recording their contributions and training, and encouraging participation in external events to broaden their understanding of the Taupo community.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should have prior work experience in administration, office management, and team support, with proven skills in communication, organization, and using office equipment and software effectively. Additionally, experience in training, community engagement, or resource coordination is highly desirable.
